Hutchison Ports TNG - Mexico
Hutchison Ports TNG Shipyard is located in Veracruz, Mexico, on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Mexico. Its position provides direct access to Pacific shipping routes while being closely connected to Mexico’s northern industrial corridor and US West Coast markets. The shipyard’s proximity to regional oil & gas activities and fishing fleets makes it an important service hub for both commercial and offshore operators in the Gulf of Mexico and wider Pacific region.
Facilities
The TNG yard is equipped with two floating docks, capable of servicing vessels up to 30,000 DWT, and outfitting berths extending over 1,200 meters. It features cranes for heavy-lift operations, workshops for hull, mechanical, electrical, and piping repairs, as well as blasting and painting facilities. The yard also offers afloat repair berths and slipway access, supporting a wide range of vessels from offshore supply ships and tankers to fishing and coastal cargo vessels. core strengths
TNG Shipyard’s core strength lies in its strategic location and versatile repair capacity. It is one of the few yards on Mexico’s Pacific coast able to handle mid-size vessels and offshore tonnage, making it valuable for operators who need quick turnarounds without deviating from regional trade and energy routes. Its integration into Hutchison Ports’ global network ensures professional management standards, reliable project delivery, and strong connectivity for shipowners. This combination of location, facilities, and international backing gives TNG an advantage in serving both regional fleets and international vessels calling at the Gulf of California.
